Privacy Policy

Superchido is a Mexican restaurant and agave bar in Melbourne. Our Seddon dining room is at 82 Charles Street, Seddon VIC 3011. A second Superchido is opening in Docklands, at 855 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008, late spring.

You can reach us at hola@superchido.com.au or 0428 459 806. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

When you use a contact or events enquiry form, we collect your name, email, phone number, the subject or event type, preferred date and time, guest numbers, and your message.

When you sign up for offers, we collect an email address and/or mobile number, and optionally your name and birthday month, so we can send news and specials you asked for.

When you book a table or buy a gift card through NowBookIt, that provider collects the details you give them to complete the booking or purchase. We may receive booking or gift-card information we need to look after your visit.

If you order pickup through OrderUp, or delivery through Uber Eats or DoorDash, those platforms collect information under their own privacy policies.

We also collect limited technical information — such as browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location — through cookies and analytics, and a small cookie that remembers whether you last chose Seddon or Docklands.

We do not ask for payment card details on this website. Bookings and gift cards are processed by NowBookIt.

We use personal information to reply to enquiries, help plan events and group bookings, look after your table, send marketing you have opted into, improve the website, remember your venue preference, and meet legal obligations, including responsible service of alcohol and liquor licensing in Victoria.

We only use your details for other purposes if you agree, or if Australian law allows or requires it.

We share information with the services that help us run Superchido: NowBookIt for tables and gift cards; Google for maps and, when enabled, analytics; the email tools we use to send messages from our website forms; and email or SMS tools if you join our list.

If you use OrderUp, Uber Eats, or DoorDash, those companies handle your order under their own terms. We may also share information with professional advisers, or with authorities, if the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

You only receive Superchido marketing emails or SMS if you sign up. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in the message, stop SMS by following the instructions in the text, or email hola@superchido.com.au and we will take you off the list.

Signing up is optional. You can still book, enquire, and dine with us without joining the list.

We use cookies that help the site work, including one that remembers your Superchido venue preference. When Google Analytics is enabled, we also use analytics cookies to understand how people use the website — for example, which pages are visited — not to identify you by name.

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. Embedded maps and booking widgets may set their own cookies under Google's or NowBookIt's policies.

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hola@superchido.com.au. We may need to verify it is you before we respond.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy matter, you can complain to us first. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. No website or email transmission is completely secure, so please be careful about what you send over the internet.

We keep information for as long as we need it to reply to you, run the restaurant, and meet legal record-keeping duties, then we delete or de-identify it when it is no longer required.

Some of the services we use — including Google and NowBookIt — may store or process information on servers outside Australia. When that happens, we take reasonable steps consistent with Australian Privacy Principle 8.

Families are welcome to dine with us. This website is aimed at a general audience, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing. Alcohol service is for guests aged 18 and over.

We may update this policy as the restaurant or the website changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. The current version always lives at this URL.
